and dispatch systems design. Mark holds FAA dispatcher license and was Hawaiian
Airlines Dispatch Manager until his retirement in 2015. Mark co-founded
Honolulu based Wxops Inc. in 2010 to R&D and commercialize Command,
Control, Communications & Computer (C4) systems for use by Government and
Industry. WxOps holds several patented and patent pending products in the areas
of Geospatial use, C4 and logistics tracking.
R&D and work interests include: •
Usage of a dedicated, standardized and secure geo-browser processes by dispatch
and flight crews using EFBs worldwide. •
Airline AOC data exchange with ATC, FAA, NOAA, DHS, NTSB, ICAO & WMO •
AOC data exchange of non-routine aircraft, airport, weather and ATC data. •
Exchange of oceanic flight data with ATC and coordinating reroutes as required •
Use of secure low to medium bandwidth data tunnels •
Human factors and task saturation related study on the use of 4D geospatial
software, big data and the EFB UI. •
NextGen, SESAR, SWIM,TASR, and OGC integration. •
Satcom Safety, AOC and passenger channel separation and integration.
